Designed by Blackstar's British R&D team, world-renowned for the famous St. James and HT Venue series, this amp embodies excellence in sound and performance. To reproduce the natural sound of a tube amp, our design team opted for a discrete MOSFET preamp, whose saturation characteristics are surprisingly close to those of tubes. As a result, we've created a preamp so faithful to reference tubes that it's virtually impossible to tell the difference.
The overdrive channel is inspired by our famous St. James 6L6, a modern British tube overdrive. As for the clean channel, it's based on the clean sound of our famous HT-20R MkIII, offering great dynamics and natural saturation when pushed - an ideal platform for pedals.
The line output with speaker emulation recreates the sonic characteristics of a cabinet picked up by a microphone, providing an authentic amp sound for recording or headphone listening. Each amp is subjected to Blackstar's strict strength and reliability standards, guaranteeing exceptional durability.
Finally, headphone playback of Line In sources is stereo, ensuring an immersive, high-quality listening experience. With this amp, Blackstar continues to push the boundaries of sonic innovation, offering musicians a robust, high-performance solution for all their needs.
