At the intersection of several musical genres—combining the heavy riffing of metalcore, the syncopation and breakdowns of djent, the stripped-down vocal lines and atmospheric pianos and synths of R&B and soul, and the sophisticated rhythmic patterns of progressive rock— the British band Sleep Token has forged a unique identity.
At the heart of this musical fusion, bassist III plays a leading role. His instrument of choice is a Charvel San Dimas bass.

The CHARVEL Sleep Token III Pro-Mod San Dimas Bass V (2965051303) is a five-string solid-body electric bass with a multi-scale scale length (34.4" to 35.5") and fanned frets.
It features a poplar body, a bolt-on neck, and a roasted maple fingerboard (24 jumbo frets).
Poplar is considered an alternative to alder. Widely available and cost-effective, poplar is therefore often used to build mid-range instruments.

The pickups are Fishman® Fluence® Custom Red Soap Bar, offering three voicings accessible via a dedicated mini-switch. From crystal-clear tones to roaring bass, the range of available sounds is extremely wide.
You can make precise adjustments using the Fishman® 2-band EQ and the Blend knob to mix the two pickups and volume to your liking.
The Hipshot® Ultra Lite tuning machines and the Charvel® Single-String Bass bridge ensure optimal vibration transfer and tuning stability.

The Charvel Sleep Token III Pro-Mod San Dimas Bass V is very comfortable to play thanks to its neck profile, its progressive 12" / 16" scale length, and, of course, its multi-scale neck.
An instrument equipped with a multi-scale fingerboard featuring fanned frets offers two major advantages:
