Sequential Prophet 5
The Dave Smith Prophet 5 is an analog synthesizer.
The new Prophet-5 “Rev 4” heralds Dave Smith's timely return to the world-changing poly analog synthesizer. This is "the best of all Prophet-5" as it embodies all three revisions of the legendary synth - Rev1, Rev2 and Rev3 - thanks to the use of true Curtis VCOs and analog filters (as in the Rev3) as well as New 2140 low pass filter designed by Dave Rossum, the modern equivalent of the 2040 filters he designed in the original Rev1 and Rev2. A switch allows you to choose between the two filter models.
The result is a renewal of an analog classic with the authentic, muscular sound of the original and the technical control of a modern, state-of-the-art instrument.
To give an even more authentic effect to the new Prophet-5, we have created the Vintage button. Use it to compose so much old-fashioned chance. It will relax the oscillators and envelopes like they did in the good old days. It allows you to gradually give a more vintage character as you go from stable 4 (as in Prophet-5 Rev4) to 1 (as in Prophet-5 Rev. The rarest and most capricious of all Prophet-5!

VINTAGE KNOB
Recreates the characteristics of various Prophet-5 models by varying the behavior of oscillators, envelopes, amplifiers, and other parameters. Go from a very stable “4” — as in Prophet-5 Rev4, (the new version) — all the way to “1,” as in Prophet-5 Rev1, the rarest and most temperamental of all Prophet-5s.
