Dingwall SP1 (4-String) - gloss ducati pearl white
A remarkable reinterpretation of the first solid-body electric bass designed by Leo Fender, the DINGWALL SP1 4-String (Gloss Ducati Pearl White) beautifully combines a traditional design with modern features.
A truly perfect balance of versatility, ergonomics, and elegance.
The instrument is crafted from a lightweight alder body, a bolt-on solid maple neck, and a multi-scale (32" > 34.25") rosewood fingerboard set with 22 fanned frets, Dingwall’s trademark feature.
An instrument equipped with a multi-scale fingerboard and fanned frets offers two major advantages:
- optimized string tension, allowing for modern tunings (down-tuning) while maintaining optimal intonation
- reduced muscle and tendon strain.
The Dingwall SP1 features a passive circuit. The Dingwall Dual-P (neck) and Dingwall FD3n (bridge) pickups—also found on the Dingwall Custom Shop Super P—and the Quad-Tone pickup selector switch offer four distinct tones: each pickup’s individual sound, and their combination in series or parallel.
