The FURCH Vintage Pure EM with OOMs is a 12-fret Grand Concert-style acoustic guitar featuring a solid Engelmann spruce top, solid African mahogany back and sides, a solid African mahogany neck, and an ebony fingerboard. It delivers glossy, precise tones with strong midrange presence and clarity.
Engelmann spruce is a premium-quality spruce. Less dense and paler in color than Sitka or Adirondack spruce, it produces noticeably more pronounced midrange, a softer attack, and remarkable clarity, contributing to a more “vintage” sound.

The 12-Fret design features a repositioned neck that extends from the body starting at the twelfth fret, with the bridge also moved outward, while maintaining the same scale length as a 14-Fret model. This design allows the soundboard to vibrate more freely and reduces string tension. As a result, the instrument’s tone is softened, and playing comfort is improved (String gauges are easier to execute).
