Gibson Country Western 60s Original - antique natural

First released in 1955 as a Southern Jumbo, the Country Western was updated in 1962 to become a Dreadnought Square Shoulder. It is a variation of the Hummingbird, featuring a Natural finish and a plain pickguard.
Sheryl Crow is undoubtedly the model’s most famous ambassador, but it has also been seen in the hands of David Gilmour and Dave Grohl.

The GIBSON Original Collection Country Western 60s (OCSSCW60HFAN) is an electro-acoustic steel-string acoustic guitar featuring a Sitka spruce top; the back, backs, sides, and neck are made of solid mahogany, and the fingerboard is rosewood (24.75" scale length, round profile).
This combination of woods produces a sound that is both full-bodied and powerful, with rich bass, prominent mids, and full-bodied treble that never lacks clarity.

The Country Western 60s Original is equipped with the exclusive Baggs HiFi DNA system.
The HiFi DNA system uses two pickups placed under the bridge instead of the usual piezo pickup. They perform recordings of vibrations from both the strings and the soundboard. The result is an even more natural and dynamic sound that faithfully reproduces the instrument’s original acoustic character.
Each Baggs HiFi DNA pickup has its own active preamp. The volume and tone controls are located on the inner edge of the soundhole.
