The LD Systems MAUI 66 G3 is a high-performance, fully active, all-in-one column sound system featuring a 4-way cardioid design.

With a peak power of 3,800 W and a maximum SPL of 135 dB, it delivers powerful, precise, and consistent sound reproduction, ideal for applications requiring high sound pressure levels and long throw. Its frequency response ranges from 28 Hz to 20 kHz.

The system is equipped with a high-power 18-inch bass-reflex subwoofer capable of extending down to 28 Hz. Its optimized acoustic design and ellipsoidal bass-reflex ports enhance low-frequency response while significantly reducing airflow noise.

The column incorporates 16 3.5-inch neodymium midrange drivers and 4 1-inch compression drivers. Two of the 3.5-inch midrange drivers are positioned above the tweeters to extend midrange reproduction and improve the system’s coverage.

BEM-optimized waveguides, optimized phase plugs, and horn-loaded midrange drivers ensure precise, controlled, and uniform sound dispersion with a directivity pattern of 120° x 25°.

Thanks to its cardioid design, the column offers up to 18 dB of rear attenuation between 100 Hz and 1 kHz. This architecture allows for better control of sound dispersion, reduces unwanted reflections, and limits the sound level behind the system.

The horn-loaded midrange drivers provide increased sensitivity, greater dynamic headroom, and more controlled directivity, promoting better wavefront coherence.

Second-generation DynX DSP processing, combined with advanced limiters, ensures clear and controlled sound, even at high volume levels.

The MAUI 66 G3 also features Bluetooth 5.4 with support for AAC and aptX codecs for high-quality wireless audio streaming.

Setup is quick and easy thanks to a wireless connection between the subwoofer and the column, as well as automatic column detection.

The subwoofer is made of birch plywood with a polyurea coating and features four ergonomic handles for easy transport. The column, meanwhile, features a robust construction made of powder-coated aluminum.

It is also possible to pair a second MAUI 66 G3 subwoofer to extend the bass response or create a cardioid subwoofer configuration.
