Manufactured in the United States, the MARTIN 16 Series Grand J-16E 12-String is a 14-fret, 12-string jumbo-style steel-string acoustic guitar, with an all-solid-wood construction and equipped with a Baggs Element VTC system.

The Grand J-16E features a solid Sitka spruce top, a solid Indian rosewood back and sides, a mahogany neck, and an ebony fingerboard.
This combination produces a clear, powerful, percussive, and glossy tone. The bass is full, precise, and responsive, while the mids and highs are well-defined with excellent articulation.
Indian rosewood is undoubtedly one of the most popular traditional woods. It shares the fundamental character of mahogany with prominent (though more subdued) mids, but with a much wider frequency range extending to both the lower and upper ends of the spectrum.
