Martin Standard M-28 - natural aging toner
The MARTIN & Co Standard Series M-28 is a 0000-style steel-string acoustic guitar—a hybrid that combines the width of a Jumbo with the depth of a 000.
The Martin M-28 is therefore designed for guitarists looking for an auditorium-style model with enhanced projection, while remaining true to Martin’s signature sound.
Thanks to its comfortable Golden Era (GE) Modified Low Oval neck profile and High-Performance Taper, it will be easier to play than a typical vintage model (the term “taper” refers to how the neck width changes from the nut to the joint with the body).
The Martin Standard M-28 features all-solid-wood construction of premium grade: a Sitka spruce solid top, Indian rosewood body and sides, a mahogany neck, and an ebony fingerboard.
This combination produces a sound that is full, warm, and responsive, with rich, well-defined bass, balanced mids, and lively highs.
The ebony fingerboard subtly and naturally compresses the sound, adding clarity that may prove valuable in certain musical contexts.
