Neumann NDH 30
The Sennheiser NHD30 is an open reference headphone for sound editing, mixing and mastering in the studio.
Perfect monitoring in Neumann quality - anywhere The NDH 30 was developed with the aim of providing the reference sound of Neumann studio monitors, perfectly calibrated by the Neumann MA 1, in an easily transportable headset.

At the same time, the NDH 30 is itself becoming a reference in terms of headphone reproduction, an aspect that has become essential for success with the general public. Its superior sound characteristics make the NDH 30 the first choice for mixing and mastering. And thanks to its high level of comfort during extended sessions, it is equally well suited to high-precision editing. The high quality construction of aluminium and steel for the spring-loaded headband and the comfortable grip are largely the same as those of the NDH 20. However, the NDH 30 is an open headset, which means that its 38 mm dynamic transducers function as acoustic dipoles. This allows optimum exploitation of their sonic characteristics: extremely fast transient response, clean bass, uncoloured midrange and clear highs. In other words, the NDH 30 reproduces the signal as it is, without any coloration of the sound. Uncompromising accuracy The NDH 30 owes its superior linearity to, among other things, frequency-selective absorbers that eliminate the high-frequency overshoot that in many other headphones leads to incorrect mixing decisions. For example, if a voice is muffled or needs a de-esser, the NDH 30 will reveal this accurately. The spatial resolution is impressive. The NDH 30 provides ultra-precise localization in the stereo panorama and highlights the depth of the mix. To minimise crosstalk between channels, the NDH 30 is supplied with a high-quality internally balanced cable. The newest member of a successful family Its high linearity and detail resolution make the NDH 30 perfectly compatible with an optimally calibrated monitor system thanks to Neumann's automatic monitor alignment. Mixes started with the NDH 30 at home or on tour can be continued in the studio with the KH series - and vice versa. At the same time, the NDH 30 is recommended as a sound reference for headphones; after all, headphones have long since become the dominant listening system among the general public. The NDH 30 is ideal for checking compatibility with headphone listening and for creating binaural mixes of immersive content (especially for virtual reality and gaming). Because consistency and reliability are essential in mixing and mastering, the NDH 30 is manufactured to extremely tight tolerances to ensure that all headphones sound exactly the same.
