Between a Music Man and a more contemporary Ibanez, SCHECTER Charles Berthoud CB-4 (#2871) is a modern and versatile solid body electric bass with active electronics.
It's a top notch instrument with Ash body, figured Maple top, Walnut/Padauk neck through body, Rosewood fretboard with 24 frets, and active circuitry (EMG 35HZ pickups, three band equalization).
Charles Berthoud is one of the most exciting and versatile new bass players on the world stage. As a soloist, he is now recognized as one of the masters of the two-handed tapping technique, which allows him to accompany himself like a pianist on his bass.
