The VIGIER Excalibur Ultra (VIG-VE6-CVU2-MYB-RC) is a high-end solid body electric guitar inspired by a classic American design, reimagined for contemporary guitarists. It pays tribute to French guitar craftsmanship with exacting specifications, a high standard of finish quality, and performance that rivals that of certain Custom Shop models.
Built using traditional luthiery techniques (alder body, figured maple top, bolt-on maple neck, 24-fret maple fingerboard, 25.6" scale length), it is a versatile instrument thanks to its HSH EMG pickup configuration (81 / SA / 85) and 24 frets, which give it an extended tonal range.
The Excalibur Ultra features the characteristics that have made Patrice Vigier’s brand so popular: wood dried for several years—a 10/90 neck (a construction combining 90% wood and 10% carbon for greater strength and stability) - a zero fret to improve tonal consistency between open strings and fretted notes - a ball-bearing vibrato system to optimize responsiveness and smooth operation of tuning machines.
