The Aguilar TLC Compressor EQ DLX features six parameters for the compression section: Threshold, Attack, Release, Ratio, Output, and Blend.
This allows you to precisely adjust your bass’s dynamics, from subtle, transparent compression to more aggressive peak attenuation.
- The Attack control sets how quickly the compressor responds to the attack of the notes. A shorter attack time helps tame the most pronounced transients, while a slower setting preserves the percussive character of your playing.
- The Release control adjusts the speed at which compression stops after the signal level drops. Depending on the settings, you’ll achieve a snappy, responsive response or a smooth, even one.
