The Black Lion Audio Revolution 14x16 is an exceptional USB-C audio interface, offering 14 inputs and 16 outputs, with unmatched sound quality, advanced syncing and advanced monitoring features, all in a 1U audio interface. It is ADAT-ready to easily add additional inputs and outputs, and benefits from premium connectivity to integrate your external processors. In addition, it integrates two Black Lion Audio Auteur preamps for superior sound quality. The Mix Edit function allows you to create custom headphone mixes on its three high-end headphone amplifiers. Thanks to patented Macro-MMC technology, the synchronization of connected devices ensures optimal performance.
Built-in Auteur preamps
Channels 1 and 2 of the Revolution 14x16 are equipped with Black Lion Audio Auteur preamps, previously reserved for rack models. These preamps combine classic designs: at low gain, they offer a fast American-style response, ideal for drums and rhythm guitars, while at higher gain, they deliver the warmth and coloration of classic British preamps, perfect for vocals and bass. Equipped with Cinemag transformers, they provide harmonic richness and musical saturation when pushed.
Unmatched connectivity and expandability
The Revolution 14x16 integrates easily into your studio with:
4 mic/instrument preamps, accessible from the front or rear of the unit (channels 1 and 2).
4 switchable inserts/returns for connecting external hardware processors, allowing you to instantly compare your signal.
Return connections serve as line inputs for keyboards, synthesizers and other line-level devices.
A standalone mode allows the Revolution to function as a 4-channel mic preamp without a computer connection (via the inserts). It also offers additional analog outputs, S/PDIF connections, and the ability to add 8 additional I/Os via ADAT (via the Revolution EXP expansion).

The Revolution 14x16 offers:
Three powerful and crystal-clear headphone amps for feedback-free monitoring.
Intuitive Mix Edit function for creating a custom headphone mix with ultra-low latency, combining hardware inputs and software playback.
A configurable 8-segment LED display for monitoring input, output or rear channel insert levels. The main monitor and headphone outputs can be combined to mono.
Precise Synchronization
Patented Macro-MMC technology ensures perfect synchronization with all your connected devices. It guarantees optimal conversion with ultra-low jitter, reducing phase distortion and preserving transients and high-frequency clarity. For those already using an external clock, the Revolution accepts a clock input via BNC.
