Crazy tube circuit Rapture (Overdrive)

Based on the amplifier/overdrive section of the Crazy Tube Circuit Triptychon pedal’s circuitry, the CRAZY TUBE CIRCUIT Rapture produces beautiful, light-to-moderate overdrive tones that remarkably evoke the responsive and nuanced sounds of a tube amplifier in its “sweet spot” (optimal operating range).

Two interactive switches—“More” and “Mod”—have been added to the original version to increase the dynamic range, improve the gain structure, and enhance the response to clipping.
MOD offers a more open response (as if increasing the power headroom of a power amp by adding tubes). MORE interacts directly with the Drive and MOD controls, altering the intensity and character of the gain. When both filters are activated together, it’s best to think of the result as an enhanced variation of the original sound rather than a second channel.

The CTC Rapture should be experimented with alongside the other elements of your rig—either before or after other processors—but one thing is certain: one way or another, it will find a prominent place in your setup.
