GLA-TC2, the Dual Mono Version of the DICTATOR

At Gainlab Audio, we pay close attention to our users' feedback. A large part of these requests requested the ability to use the unit in dual mono mode. The Dictator was designed to be as versatile as possible on modern materials and to integrate easily into today's production practices, in addition to its traditional vacuum tube design. The original goal was to process two-channel stereo tracks while maintaining the most accurate stereo operation possible.

Therefore, the Dictator's controls were also designed with this in mind. In creating the dual mono version, interoperability between the two channels is still important, but both sides each include a fully individually configurable Vari-? compressor, with almost all the features of the original Dictator.

As a result, all controls are implemented with switches to allow the use of both compressors with the same settings. The sidechain, of course, remains connectable. Based on this, the Dictator Dual Mono is truly a two-channel tube dynamics processor, capable of pulsing on a master bus as well as producing crackle saturation alongside unreleased transients and dirty breaks.
