The IN Series monitors are unlike anything you've ever heard. The three-way design allows both the woofer and tweeter to do less work, resulting in better imaging and lower distortion across the frequency spectrum.
At the same time, the coaxial architecture of the midrange and tweeter allows for a hyper-realistic sound image. This means that you can hear the subtle details of your mix with extreme precision.
The IN Series monitors literally act as acoustic point sources. They have all the advantages of traditional 3-way systems and traditional coaxial (concentric) speakers, without any of the disadvantages associated with either.
