Mooer LOOPATION
For over a decade, MOOER has been captivating musicians with innovative effects pedals, and the new MVP3 Loopation is ready to continue that tradition. This versatile, feature-rich pedal lets artists create seamless loops with their vocals and instruments. It’s part of MOOER’s ??recent VP Series, which offers versatile support for mic inputs.
Loopation offers 11 slots for saving recorded audio loops, with 8 providing 5 minutes of recording time and 3 providing 10 minutes of recording time. Users can select slots via a simple “song” dial, and once audio is recorded, the files are automatically saved to the device. The pedal has two recording modes: real-time and automatic.
Real-time mode is activated when the right footswitch is pressed, similar to traditional loop pedals. Conversely, the automatic mode goes into standby mode with a press of the right footswitch and starts recording as soon as a signal is detected, stopping with a second press.
The looping features don’t stop there. A press of the right footswitch starts the file playing, and during this playback, another press activates the dubbing mode, which continues until the pedal is pressed again. Playback can be interrupted by two quick presses of the right footswitch or by switching to another save location.
When playback is stopped, users can delete all recorded layers by holding the right footswitch for 1 second or by pressing the “stop” footswitch twice. Finally, they can cancel their dubbing by holding the left footswitch during the playback of an overdub and repeating this action to restore the deleted layer. To reverse the audio file, simply press the left footswitch.
The Loopation features XLR and 1/4" inputs, which can be used in either "mixed" or "single" mode. Users can switch between these modes by holding down the right footswitch while plugging in power. In mixed mode, both inputs are active, and can be balanced with the "mix" dial, while in single mode, the input signals are isolated from their respective outputs. The main dial adjusts the overall volume of both outputs.
