Suhr Ian Thornley Thornicus Octave Fuzz
After years of development and countless circuit refinements, the SUHR Ian Thornley Thornicus Octave Fuzz has emerged as a powerful dual-channel fuzz featuring independent Fuzz and Octave Fuzz sides, each with its own dedicated controls for complete tonal flexibility.
SUHR Ian Thornley Thornicus Octave Fuzz perfectly captures the DNA of all the fuzzes loved by the artist, but is infinitely more flexible and versatile
This octave circuit captures the raw, blooming character Ian love—those gritty, unpredictable overtones that reward touch, phrasing, and intention. It reacts to your technique in a way that feels almost instrument-like, shifting from chime to controlled chaos with the way you play
Each channel of the Thornicus Fuzz—Fuzz and Octave Fuzz—features its own dedicated tone control, giving you complete authority over the character of each side. Shape the fundamental fuzz voice with precision, then craft a separate tonal identity for the octave circuit, from smooth and rounded to cutting and aggressive. This separation lets you dial in two fully unique sound palettes and switch between them effortlessly, without compromise.
The Octave side is identical to the Fuzz side, with the addition of an added octave fuzz circuit stacked in series before the core fuzz circuit. The Octave channel also includes individual Sustain, Mids, Tone and Level controls to dial the channel independently, allowing for finer control of the overall tone between channels.
Channel selection can be controlled via MIDI with Program or Controller Changes for modern MIDI equipped pedal boards.
