Inspired by the legendary British 1073 preamp, the Black Lion B173 Quad captures the essence of vintage sound with powerful bass, assertive mids and detailed treble. Designed in a 19’’ rack format, it features high-end components and a discrete class A circuit, with transformer-coupled input and output stages.
Thanks to its 70 dB gain, the B173 Quad offers excellent headroom and low background noise, ideal for fully exploiting ribbon microphones even on weak sources. Its unique character enriches each signal for a warm and musical rendering, heir to a sound that has marked the history of music.
